“It is so nice to be greeted at the door. To have a friendly face. A lot of people might not have had a conversation that day, so it does make a difference … People feel at home and welcomed at the concerts – particularly for people starting out in this music. There’s a misconception that it’s an elite pursuit. People are intimidated by it, or tentative about it – but [MusicConnects] takes this away and opens the door to the world of music to everyone – what better gift to give!” – Pauline Foley, Music Maker

“The initial idea of [MusicConnects] was to expand interest in classical music in Galway across different communties. Getting to disadvantaged communities and creating opportunities to experience classical music. I’m from a rural background and I didn’t hear the words classical music once through my primary and secondary education. As a Music Maker I want to help [MusicConnects] to open the wonderful notes of classical music to more communities, more of the time.” – Michael Cuddy

“I like what is being done by the organisation. It is being done on a shoestring and I can financially afford to offer some support.” – Michael Cuddy
