MusicConnects has a simple but powerful mission. We exist to serve the people of Galway, providing opportunities for all to experience the joy of music in new and unexpected ways. We aim to make our events as freely accessible so that anyone is welcome at our activities. Because everyone has the right to listen to, learn about and love music.

“The initial idea of [MusicConnects] was to expand interest in classical music in Galway across different communties. Getting to disadvantaged communities and creating opportunities to experience classical music. I’m from a rural background and I didn’t hear the words classical music once through my primary and secondary education. As a Music Maker I want to help [MusicConnects] to open the wonderful notes of classical music to more communities, more of the time.”

Volunteers are a very important part of our team here at MusicConnects. We rely on dedicated and enthusiastic helpers in many ways and value their input and ideas.
