Our first Music Unveiled event took place on Tuesday 28th January 2025 in Ballybane Library, Galway. The Music Unveiled team explored Haydn’s ‘Frog’ Quartet and Judith Ring’s ‘Of Woods and Water’, two works featured on our World Wetlands Day programme
Our Music Unveiled events will rotate across the city libraries (Ballybane, City, Westside) and are paired with our Lunchtime with ConTempo series. One week ahead of each concert, we will deconstruct some of the featured repertoire so you can learn about the music performed at our concerts ahead of time. The sessions will be filmed and posted on our YouTube channel the weekend before the Lunchtime with ConTempo concerts.
???? The sessions will be led by Head of Music at University of Galway, Dr Aidan Thomson, with inputs by featured contemporary composers and live demonstrations by ConTempo Quartet. In partnership with University of Galway’s Music Department and Galway City Council.
