Ahead of our November concerts, join us for an insightful exploration of some of the featured repertoire through our Guided Listening Programme, Music Unveiled, presented in partnership with Galway City Council Arts Office and the University of Galway’s Department of Music.
On Tuesday, 27th October at 10.30am -12pm, we will deconstruct our November programme at Westside Resource Centre. The session will feature contributions from Dr. Aidan Thomson, Department of Music, University of Galway, from Irish composer Rhona Clarke and ConTempo Quartet who will offer us unique perspectives on:
Joaquín Turina’s Oración del Torero, Joseph Vella’s 3 Danze Antiche con Preludio, Karl Fiorini’s Maltese Quicky and Rhona Clarke’s Pas de Quatre, composed for ConTempo Quartet
Music Unveiled events are designed to deepen our understanding of the repertoire’s structure, inspiration, and context, as well as the performers’ connection to the music and composers.
Admission is free, and all are welcome. Booking is required via Westside Resource Centre:
