Music Unveiled – April

A Guided Listening Event

Ahead of our May concerts, some of the featured repertoire will be explored through our Guided Listening Programme Music Unveiled, supported by the Galway City Cultural Partnership programme, an initiative of Galway City Arts Office. These events are presented in partnership with University of Galway’s Music Department and Galway City Council Arts Office at Galway’s city libraries. The For the Birds programme will be deconstructed on Tuesday 29th April at 11am in Westside Library with contributions from Dr Aidan Thomson, senior lecturer in Music at University of Galway, composer Nick Roth and ConTempo Quartet. The session will also be filmed and made available online. Our Music Unveiled evens empower you to understand the repertoires structure, inspiration and context, as well as the performers’ interaction with the work and composer.

Entry is free, all are welcome, booking required via Westside Library: westside@galwaylibrary.ie / 091-509091

Music Unveiled and Lunchtime with ConTempo are free, inclusive and accessible initiatives. The Music Unveiled sessions will be filmed and made available online for those who can’t make it in person. Booking for Music Unveiled is required through the relevant libraries. The series is supported by Galway City Council’s Cultural Partnerships Initiatives.
