This May we continue our focus on the intimacy of the string duo with a lunchtime concert, Viola & Cello: A dialogue across time. Exploring centuries of composers weaving voices together and revealing the unique stories two instruments can tell, ConTempo Quartet members Andreea Banciu and Adrian Mantu will carry us through the ages with music composed for the viola and cello.
The programme will include music by F.A. Kummer, Rebecca Clarke, Beethoven, Carl Stamitz and Galway based composer, Jane O’Leary.
This is a FREE event. No booking is required. Donations are encouraged as they help us to continue our work bringing music to local communities.
