As part of its ConTempo Countywide series, MusicConnects in partnership with Coole Music & Arts presents a very special evening concert on Sunday 16th October 2022 at 7:00pm in Kiltartan Church, Gort.
Continuing its commitment to bringing performance to local centres throughout County Galway, MusicConnects is delighted to work with Coole Music & Arts once again to present ConTempo Quartet alongside two of their student ensembles, The Compass String Quartet and the newly-formed Black Swan String Trio.
This lively collaborative concert presented for the local community will feature a varied programme including classical composer Robert Schumann and contemporary Irish composer Deirdre McKay performed by ConTempo Quartet. The Compass String Quartet will present the Irish premier of two movements from Katharina Baker’s Suite of ‘Celtic Creatures’ while the newly-formed Black Swan Trio will perform a couple of classical favourites.
