For our final Countywide performance before the summer, join us in the beautiful Thoor Ballylee, near Gort for a collaborative concert with Coole Music. ConTempo will perform a selection of music by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Katharina Baker. They will be joined onstage by a number of ensembles from Coole Music with a selection of their chamber music repertoire. This performance takes place at 3:00pm on Sunday 11 June at Thoor Ballylee, Gort.
ConTempo Quartet is the resident ensemble of MusicConnects and was RTE’s Resident Quartet from 2014 until 2019. Praised as a “fabulous foursome” (Irish Independent) and noted for performances which are “exceptional” (The Strad) and “full of imaginative daring” (The Irish Times), ConTempo Quartet has forged a unique place in Irish musical life.
