Get ready for an unforgettable day at Claregalway Castle! As part of the castle’s Spring Garden Fair, MusicConnects is delighted to present an afternoon concert celebrating all things Landscape.
MusicConnects 2026 theme,Threads, knits together composers whose music is connected by shared ideas, relationships, and places. In March, ConTempo Quartet will perform music that was Shaped by Landscape. Across the ages, composers have drawn inspiration from the places they call home.
Experience how music connects us to place, from landscapes to the elements shaping the land and its people. And be among the first to hear a new work by Judith Ring – ‘Raise a Tragic Chorus in a Gale’ – alongside works by Edvard Grieg, Caroline Shaw and more.
This is a free event, donations are welcome and help us to continue our work bringing the joy of music to local communities.
Booking required via eventbrite. Donations are encouraged – you can donate when you book your ticket or at the event.
This programme can first be heard at our Lunchtime with ConTempo concert on Tuesday 3 March in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church, Galway.
Come on this journey with us. Help us make many generations of musicians and music lovers in Galway and beyond.
