Under the theme, In Conversation, the season explores the rich diversity of string quartet music through four unique programmes. Each event pairs classical traditions with contemporary Irish compositions, offering a journey from the sunlit melodies of the Mediterranean to the dynamic rhythms of Paris and Amsterdam.
Join us for a season of discovery and connection! The string quartet has long captivated composers across cultures and centuries. This programme invites you to explore its many voices – some familiar, some rarely heard – while celebrating the contributions of contemporary Irish composers, including Galway’s own Jane O’Leary, Rhona Clarke, Marian Ingoldsby, and Deirdre McKay.
